Beyond: Two Souls, is a game created by David Cage. David Cage was inspired to create to create Beyond: Two Souls when his good friend died. “It’s really a shocking experience. It was so sudden, unfair and cruel and incredible, and I’ve never been a religious guy, (don’t really believe in god) but I needed to find some meaning to this experience,” David Cage said. The way David Cage created this game was necessary to communicate the message.
Method
Beyond: Two Souls comprises of a motion process where two actors were filmed just acting out the script designed for the game. They usually capture their faces in order to see the body language of each and every emotion that is portrayed in order to improve the quality of the game. I believe this method would improve the effectiveness of the production of the game..
Effectiveness
Beyond: Two Souls the effectiveness of capturing the entire acting performance with the 70+ cameras. “You can shoot everything at the same time… where the actor is free to move around. We captured body, face and voice at the same time,” David Cage said. I believe that this method was necessary to give the user the experience they needed to convey the message of the game.
Experience
Beyond: Two Souls the experience of the game is amplified through the level of detail and acting within the game. The level of detail that was put into the production of the game definitely improved the experience of the users and was necessary to communicate the message David Page was trying to portray.
